You've got to tell me how you handle PoV changes when you read it, and tell me how it goes. How much are you going to read? Are you scared? (The reading my work in front of people--or on radio--freaks me out.
I'm pretty nervous...I tend to be quiet and a little shy - the type that likes to sit back and watch things happen; absorbing everything. Add in the reading my work...I'm wondering things like - Will I do it justice? Will it seem dorky with me reading it instead of in the readers' mind?
Gregory allows up to 20 minutes of reading time but I'm choosing to do only 5 minutes. I chose this rather eerie scene out in the woods :)
I'm going to be practicing that until I know it in my sleep! Which probably isn't good because it's a creepy scene and then I'll have nightmares.
My husband will be subjected to recording it. I'll try the PoV changes a few different ways and see what sounds best.
If it were a reading in person (which, I'd probably die before the first page was read) I thought that shifting in your seat - left, then shift right for another PoV then left again (not dramatically enough to distract but enough to signify a change was coming up) - along with a pause might work.
What do you think of that for 'in person' reads?
